Fischer Lumber Co. is a proud sponsor of the 8th Annual Edwardsville Turkey Trot 5K. The Turkey Trot is scheduled for Thanksgiving Day morning, Thurs., Nov. 23. This year, the 5K will be held on the SIUE campus and there will be no race cap. The Kids’ Fun Run will begin at 8:30 a.m., and the 5K will begin at 8:40 a.m.
This infamous Thanksgiving tradition is hosted by Edwardsville Neighbors in Need. All of the proceeds from this local fundraising event will directly benefit local families within District 7 in need of temporary financial assistance due to medical or emergency crisis. Fischer Lumber Co. joined the Edwardsville Neighbors in Need as a 2017 Gold Level Business Sponsor earlier this year. With this business partnership, Fischer Lumber Co. also sponsored The 9th Annual Taste of Edwardsville, which occurred in May.
